  • I was debating between a Hario Switch and a Clever Dripper as my most recent gear change. I finally went with the Clever since Hario or 3rd party filters are quite expensive here compared to Clever cones which just use a generic Melitta style cone.

    I love the mix of immersion and pour over. Really love it for the office. Requires the smallest of amount of my direct time input while providing very good consistent cups of coffee from day to day.

  • I love my moka pot. I have an induction cook top in the kitchen so I have a stainless steel moka pot. I like a big mug of coffee so I went with the 6 cup size. Easy clean up. No paper filters to buy. Never used an aeropress but I wanted to avoid another plastic coffee tool so moka pot was the choice.

  • You never describe the origin of the beans beyond local light roast. The flavor you are chasing is something that is seen in Ethiopian and some Kenyan beans.

    Regardless of the origin, I feel like 80C is way too low, going below 90C is bad idea since so much cooling occurs during the pour.
