Lucky you, in Rome, 25/mo for barely 200 down / 20 up, mixed fiber/copper. I'm still on DSL 100down10up (yeah, in 2023) but I think I'll switch when they will provide real fiber, something like yours in terms of performance. (Fastweb btw)
IK I was just poking fun at windows, but the average user (a grandma or other non-tech literate person) won't know it even exists, plus it doesn't resolve the issue that, aside from a few maybe legal scripts, you can't uninstall edge. Still a step in the good direction though.
Not panCat but I've been using Mint (cinnamon) for a couple of months now, it's snap-less Ubuntu (snaps are a controversial packaging format, plenty of videos on that) with a Windows 10-esque UI and lots of actually useful apps pre-installed OOTB, 9/10 can recommend (not 10 bcs it looks a bit...old,but I guess you can customize it or put KDE if u want)
Seconding that, made the switch and nothing broke since(almost 2 months now, o) . Can't say that for windows tho, where not only auto updates meant I had to wait half an hour to use my PC half of the time or disable them and not be up to date with security, but the OS itself was riddled with problems, sometimes just opening Firefox with a few tabs (like 4 or so) would bsod (and I have 16 gigs of ddr4 ram, so it wasn't a ram problem) not to mention now that I'm on Mint everything is faster, I didn't have to pay a license key and I know my OS isn't trying to fight me for my data.
Where I live (ymmv) shipping is 50cent if you ship a looooot of stuff, vat is like 18 cents, that means they need to turn a profit on 32 cents, dividing 32 by 10 we obtain 3.2 cents a sticker, wow. (just bought them btw)
