Anyhow I think this is it, but at the same time I do agree with others here that a reply to a downvoted comment promotes community, resilience, and hopefully empathy. But there's no way it's going to happen all the time. When it does, it's great, and when it doesn't, we shouldn't be offended.

You don't even know if the downvotes are coming from an actual human, so a few downvotes shouldn't make a difference. I realize this isn't the exact case that the OP is describing though.

Agreed. I use their docker image, and have migrated servers. Other than copying data it only took a few minutes of cli-fu and everything was back up and running.

Oh for sure. The hardware and software are both amazing. This new bullshit is the only problem. I have friends who have the printer and aren't worried about this because they always use it in the mode that Bambu is forcing on people. But that's not the only workflow.

They're probably trying to build a 3D printing platform that they control. They probably have ambitions of having authorized third party devices that connect to their printers, like Made for iOS (MFI). If so, they're doing it wrong.

Apple Intelligence is so awful I just turned it off. It was causing me trouble and I honestly can't think of a single thing it did good for me. I've been much less frustrated with it turned off.

I disagree. I'm just an engineer, but I've worked for executive leadership across the spectrum from great to awful, and a great executive leader can make or break something by aligning everybody and cutting out bullshit and distractions.

That being said, they also have to have great people working for them, so they are far from the whole picture. But some positive changes just can't be made from the bottom up.
