Agreed. The only reason I might not get a green car now is because I got the new CO stegosaurus plates and it would clash, but we need more green (and more color in general). It's boring out there.

I do that with poblanos (and vegan chorizo if I'm feeling fancy), and I can confirm that it's so good, and not terribly expensive. The last time I did it, it was probably about $10 for the ingredients, but it made enough peppers for 2 meals each for me and my mom, plus enough leftover filling for at least couple more.

Also, my pet keeps me from walking in front of a bus some days, so she's also responsible for my carbon footprint. What a horrible little dog.

Seriously, though, there are FAR bigger producers of emissions and most of them don't bring nearly as much joy to this shitty existence as our pets do. Plus, the animals are there. They already exist, and bringing them into our homes just means we don't have a giant population of feral animals running around the suburbs. If people spayed and neutered responsibly and backyard breeders/mills were banned (and that was actually enforced) and countries with massive populations of street dogs were better equipped to control the population, I might agree with you that we should have fewer pets.

I have and will write essays about my feelings on that whole deal and I still have resentment toward Tony stans who spent literal years cluttering up Ao3 with their dumb fics about how he never did anything wrong in his life. I think it mostly just got to me so much because what they were fundamentally defending is the existence of human registries for anyone meeting certain criteria, regardless of their actions (right as we had conservatives supporting Muslim registries in real life) and stuff like secret prisons with no trial (like an even worse Guantanamo), and it was really fucking concerning.

You don't have to be the ultimate nerd to still be a nerd about it. I'm the same way - there are massive game franchises I've never touched, but I'll get in deep on the ones I do play, but I only have about 2 friends who game so I never get the chance.

Do you think we never got to stop working for a second? Yeah, retail is notorious for the whole "time to lean, time to clean" thing, but we actually did get to chill out if we were caught up. But we were almost never caught up because some people are jerks who leave their carts all over the lot.

As someone who had that job as a teenager, saying it's better than other tasks is not a high bar. Yeah sure, it sucks less than cleaning the bathrooms or dealing with particularly shitty customers, but that doesn't mean I was pumped to have to walk the whole fuckin lot to gather all the loose carts that lazy assholes couldn't be bothered to put back. Gee thanks for the extra work for the lowest paid person at the store, how generous.

I keep memberships to the zoo and the nature & science museum active because I like going to both with friends. Good way to get some exercise and do something different. That said, I didn't start doing that until I was about 30 and was a few years removed from the bar scene, so I guess it depends on your age and your friend group.

Lots of pedophiles go to rape kids. It's not the thing about transitioning. Although I think the OP was more referring to the general idea of sex tourism, not so much the specifics with Thailand.
