Idk where this myth started from but shrimp and lobsters are crustaceans, a separate class of arthropods within the phylum arthropoda. arthropoda is a massive phylum and bugs belong to the class insecta. lobsters and shrimp belong to crustacea so calling shrimp bugs is like calling whales hippos because they're both from the clade artiodactyla /nerdmode off
was thinking of something similar to this except for web users too. for example if a user is reported as someone with a malicious history and/or has affiliations with malicious people/sites, the instance admins/mods review the evidence of the reporters and if the evidence is sufficient, that user gets flagged and the flag federates across instances. maybe a red "!" next to the name that has a note when you hover the cursor over it or tap it to warn users to be careful around that person. idk a thing about programming though so I don't know how hard/easy this'd be to implement lol
I miss old YouTube so much it hurts omg. i miss how it wasn't about engagement, branding, money or camera quality, it was about broadcasting yourself and having fun. now it's become a bland corporate shell of what it used to be and half of my recommendations are AI slop lol
source: I'm so old I remember when YouTube vids were rated with stars and everyone had neon channels with funky text
I think if you can't optimise your games enough or deliver on graphics card specs then faking it till you make it isn't a good band aid for that. feels like false advertising. is this really an unpopular opinion? i thought most people disliked this trend
