Unpopular opinion: There are already way too many domestic cats and they are responsible for the extinction of various species, mostly birds. They are amongst the most problematic invasive species in the world. Its probably not a good idea to increase their lifespan...
that's about the official IRC bridge, but Heisenbridge is a third party that is still allowed. The only downside is you need to self-host Matrix and Heisenbridge, which is a no-go for me. I think I saw beeper promoting that they bridge to IRC but apparently they no longer do
