  • It was shortly after they faked out Glenn's death, because I felt the writers were being emotionally sadistic just for shock value and not to enrich the story.

I think I also quit watching The 100 around the same time for that same reason (and because of a couple character deaths that were written very shitty. If you know, you know.)

  • Yeah, I've scoured the internet for good (and free) apps myself. That's why I've been using Duolingo even though it's not even all that helpful because it doesn't explain the grammar. I also use Anki too, but its help is also limited. I did buy a text book, but it was very dry and it's not all that effective for my learning style. I do appreciate the response though.

  • Thank you 🙏 I really like the style

  • Thank you, I must've missed that part 😅

    I agree with you there.

I think a lot of people who don't care about the virus are the ones who should be the most concerned about these findings

  • Who's the artist?

  • I'm surprised that he's even allowed to, but I guess I'm not surprised that he would go for it

  • Autopsy studies of people who had severe COVID-19 but died months later from other causes showed that the virus was still present in brain tissue. This provides evidence that contrary to its name, SARS-CoV-2 is not only a respiratory virus, but it can also enter the brain in some individuals. But whether the persistence of the virus in brain tissue is driving some of the brain problems seen in people who have had COVID-19 is not yet clear.

    Um, scary TIL...

I wonder if this compounds in any way for people who've been infected multiple times.

  • I never really thought about it before, but yeah, I think I can agree with this. However, seeing people use the /s doesn't bother me.

  • I agree and I don't know why they're popular. Though, this is an opinion I have for most modern cars. I love the body styles from the 50's, 60's and somewhat from the 70's.

  • How's that? I'm not arguing against anything, I said I want more words to be disgendered

How come people seem to only want words that were originally masculine coded words to be disgendered, but don't want that for words that are originally feminine coded?

  • yeah, I noticed this when trying to look at !unpopularopinion@lemmy.world

i thought the community died, but it was quite active when i viewed it as a guest on the actually instance

edit: wow, this federation bug with lemmy.world has made me realize how a huge majority of communities that i'm subscribed to are on lemmy.world and i need to diversify the communities i'm in

  • switching the server usually works for me

edit (in response to your edit): holy shit your internet is fast, even w/ the vpn. it's around 900 mb faster than mine🫠

  • yinz is new to me, is it said with some kind of accent?
