  • lemmy.world deleted their copy of it (due to site rules, and prompted by a concerned Internet citizen)

    It's probably the biggest Community in all of Lemmy, so the ramifications will be interesting.

  • I think there was a change to the API in a recent release of Lemmy, that .world hasn't accounted for correctly. I'm guessing because this post has the two most common responses to tech questions about .world: silence from anyone who could actually answer, and the usual "it'll be them DDOS attacks".

  • Did Yoda go from someone who occasionally mangles the syntax of a sentence, in the way someone speaking English as a second language might, to someone who practically says everything the wrong way around? Or have I imagined it, hmm?

  • This is my view of your profile:

    The last post I can see in you profile that says French was to antitaff@jlai.lu

    That community doesn't accept posts in 'unspecified'. In their API response, it says:
    "discussion_languages": [47]
    47=French. If it also allowed unspecified, it would say [0, 47]

    So it may be that you're selecting 'unspecified', but in order for it to actually post, it's going through as 'French'. This is probably better than just erroring.
