God, listening to folks bitching about LibDems because they were the scapegoat for the Tories decades ago is just saddening.

They have literally been the only party that have offered actual change to our voting system. Sometimes I dream of what a different state we would be in if that referendum had passed.

The UK isn't great, but its not really an outlier compared to anywhere else.

China has at least 200 million cameras installed in the country. ... other countries such as the United States and Germany have 50 million and 5.2 million CCTV Cameras each. The list goes on with other countries with more than 1 million cameras. The United Kingdom has 5 million CCTV cameras installed

The UK general election in 2019 had 40% of seats go to Corbyn, vs 42% going to the Tories. There is work to be done, but the reported numbers don't get the profile of reality.
