  • I hope you figure out how to set boundaries. 60 hours of working time is 8 am to 8 pm 6 days per week. You will have heart problems, and soon. You will have hair problems (if male) and soon. You will have relationship problems and depression. Same deal for metabolic conditions like prediabetes from sitting so long.

Don't give your health to fatten your CEOs paycheck.

You should be aiming for 35 if you can (9-5, x5) if that.

  • The current tech industry has taken a hard right turn. While there are of course many standout foss contributors and many come up every day, the vast majority of people in tech have no qualms about waking up, destroying privacy at Facebook, and having a beer after work with friends and ignoring society. Silicon valley is "fuck you got mine" on an industrial scale.

  • Same, haven't used a cart (besides Costco where I just can't lift any product they have long enough to check out) in years. Well I suppose I haven't been to Costco in years either but x >> y in this description.

  • Oooh I can escalate this one. I hope you learn to drive, so you can get safely home rather than hitting very large, often brightly colored baskets with padding on all four corners.

So that you can cut your foot in the shower, get a disease, and have to have it amputated. See it escalated!

    Tee hee?

  • And you'll be heavily fined if you don't carry your trash home. Personally I prefer public trash cans, especially when I'm visiting a place hours from home. That way I can enjoy being there rather than carrying soggy trash with me for ten hours. But to each their own.

  • Why is this such a thing people are obsessed with? Like there's a billion things wrong with the world at every scale imaginable and your concern is the cart return guy has to walk around an extra 10 ft? There isn't even consensus amongst the people who have to do the cleanup that this is bad. Just move on.
