I’m a pixel to iPhone convert but when I did when the 12 pro came out and just got the 15 pro.

Maybe I misread but a couple confusing points:

• Isn't the 15 pro titanium back not glass?
• you can customize the Home Screen easily. Moving apps or even removing apps from the Home Screen and only accessible via launcher. Something iPhone didn’t have back in the day.
• the pixel 8 camera might be better than 15 pro but I don’t believe the pixel 5 is better.
• app settings are all alphabetically organized in the settings app. Very easy to find and change app settings.
• my phone always on silent so I haven’t used custom ringtones in years (even when I was on android) but this guide seems to be good https://www.trustedreviews.com/how-to/set-song-as-ringtone-iphone-free-4324630
• never realized the different country cards on Apple wallet. Seems like a niche case issue but i understand if you did it before it being a problem. Thankfully American cards on Apple wallet work when in other countries (at least in Canada)

Edit: has been pointed out that they had to disable downloading for legal reasons. Bummer. Way back machine has some of the data archived (may 2022 has some which can be downloaded, but others are dec 2022 or newer which are archived)

Would this let global menu (plasma) on Firefox work better under Wayland? I remember someone saying that Wayland was the reason it didn’t work.

I wish I could. In a situation where I’m basically paying for 2 houses on top of my family.

Yeah I totally get that. It def takes a bit of “roleplaying” to make up for the game mechanics and enjoy the story that is pretty good (at least pre expansions. I haven’t played any)

Im so scared to get a layoff. I have no college experience but have been at my job for 7 years + 5 years at my prior tech job. and now I get to do consulting and coding I love my job. We’re also a new team (specific for API projects) and if we can’t prove our worth quickly I see layoffs in my future. I have no idea what I’ll do if that happens.

Plenty! If you treat it as not an MMO it has some fun story lines. I myself haven’t played in years but I wanna do some more story lines at some point.

I haven’t used pop os but I always hear good. I really do hope they switch to Debian. Ubuntu should not be so many people’s first choice anymore. 10+ years ago sure but now? No reason. They just push so hard the newbies gravitate to them.

On top of that I’m still baffled how they let a contributor purposefully fuck up a translation to the point they had to stop downloads. Sure bad eggs happen but how did they not notice until after… especially with what happened with cyberpunks translation.

So happy I finally moved from Ubuntu to arch finally last week.

I haven’t looked into it but steam reviews are mostly positive.

I too prefer to read text posts over articles or videos. But I guess it depends what you follow? My home feed doesn’t have as many articles or videos. Memes sure but I did sign up for that.

I had a similar thought. I got a plugin for neovim that lets you manage files and folders with nvim and seems like a quick way to easily move a bunch of files and folders around.

I haven’t really used it, as you said I stick with shell commands. But I could see some people getting used to that. Especially when dealing with a lot of files or photos and you really like vim lol
