Yes totally agree about that. I don’t believe the police in Canada have qualified immunity however it is more difficult to get a conviction against them.
That’s what a lot of people say until they’re in need of some police action then it’s all about “why aren’t the police doing their jobs!?”
For the record I’m 100% against illegal searches. Court orders should be required to look at personal devices.
That said, I volunteer with cops in Canada and find them to be very professional. Saw a female officer working with a non-white individual high on drugs at a hospital and she kept the person calm and relaxed by reading a book to them as you would a child. Totally worked.
I think it’s a total propaganda line to say nothing is getting better under liberals.
Better medical coverage, forgiving student loans, improvements to education, just few examples that benefit everyday Americans rather than billionaires. There’s so much more to making society better for everyone than just a bit more money at the end of the day. Besides if china tariffs come in big time count on everything getting far more expensive almost overnight.
You better bet none of that will happen with the current republicans at the helm.
They’ll happily screw over everyone to line their pockets and weaken the working class while selling them lies about how much better off they are with a minor raise to minimum wage or something insignificant.
As much as some pay lip service to gender equality, ignoring race and ethnicity and taking care of the environment in public, once they’re in a private voting booth, the mask comes off to reveal an awful lot of racist, sexist, bully boys who only care about themselves.
Duggy panders to the low-brow uneducated vote. Closing bike lanes only has to do with sticking it to the bikers that the uneducated types hate flying past them while driving in gridlock.
If bikers were to plan a bike protest blocking streets. I guarantee you’d see mandatory bike licensing within a year with unlicensed bikes being impounded, and the rednecks would vote for him again in a split second.
Apple seems to have it figured out, my last two iPhones have had OLED screens and I never saw any burn-in despite having them on a lot and fairly bright.
Now work profits over time into that equation and you’re getting it.
They make far more money selling entirely new computer hardware with integrated memory. They charge a fairly steep price for memory and I’m sure their fab costs are nowhere near that.
Banging out a new CPU with different amounts of memory is relatively cheap, not like they’re redesigning from scratch to throw in a few more memory components. Memory is simple and predictable.
If I was them I’d make a single chip with 32-64GB of RAM and just blow fuses to the necessary sizes to make it cheap, but although that makes sense for manufacturing it’s a PR issue down the road when someone finds out.
