  • Sure the gameplay is well tested (it has a overwhelmingly positive on Steam already from Early Access), but it's a huge game, and everything beyond Act 1 is brand new, plus many things in Act 1 have been changed (ex. one origin character was rescripted and recorded).

So while the gameplay and the implementation of the 5e ruleset is well known, the rest of the story and the journey is still mostly new, and that's a huge part of what will make people enjoy the game or not.

Just my few cents on why it's still important to see how it reviews. Mortismal Gaming is already reporting that there are some crashes, bugs in the release version, especially in the later acts (even if that is normal for a game of this scope, it's good to know).

  • Best use case I've encountered is asking it plan a holiday itinerary. A prompt like "plan me 2 days in Venice including lunch and dinners based on Reddit recommendations with links to google maps" works wonders - you still need to verify that the recommendations exist, but it gives a great starting point.

  • I've been evaluating this for the last few weeks, and have decided to migrate all my notes over.

The free 1gb of cloud storage is incredibly generous, and since I don't use much media in my notes, it's really all I need.

Interested to see how they price it in the long run.

  • Yeah I've seen the backlash from the community leading up to Henry Caville's departure, but I've been out of the loop so to say since moving over to Lemmy. I kind of assumed that it would be mutually beneficial for CDPR and Netflix to parter on promotions, since I assume it's mutually beneficial in terms of Netflix subs and game purchases. Can't blame CDPR for wanting to focus effort elsewhere though.
