Don't rely on an llm for coding, but... This is exactly where it should be in your toolbox.

My folks are in their 70s and not much different.

This is amazing because I literally talked my father through getting a SHA-256 verified ISO of Linux mint onto a USB drive, and got him to flash his infected machine and walk him through the installation process with nothing but audio.

100% agree that really the supreme Court's decision here is likely to determine how much longer the horrors last.

If things go well, this won't last more than 4 years.

If things go poorly this could be the end of the free world as we know it.

Thankfully, there are two other options in this game theory square that both offer a glimmer of hope even if they suggest a period of darkness.

Edit: the supreme court paused the decision. This represents one of the "other two options" in this game theory square. It's not ideal, but there's still a path forward.

Literally depends on finances. As an investment? I would say no.

Is an employer paying for it? 100% worth it. Do you have your finances covered such that retirement's not going to be an issue in your older age? Absofucking really. Do it.

Higher education is expensive. It also depends on what you want to study. Is it something you can feasibly study yourself for a cheaper cost, do projects and prove yourself to employers?

Like if your neck is above water and you're thinking about studying computer science right now... I recommend like a thousand good YouTube videos instead. Genuine passion, a build-it attitude, that will save you some money and probably go further in the long run..

The higher education will never hurt. It will only hurt you financially. It won't guarantee a return.

My understanding of what's going on here... And admittedly, the Trump administration is moving very fast, the courts are not moving fast enough. However that's kind of the way the courts have always worked. It feels like the Trump administration is trying to exploit this.

However, if that man is not returned by midnight, my assumption is that there will be a Patsy that will be held in contempt of court.

So we are now in a game theory square

The man returns, the man does not return.

Someone is punished, no one is punished.

Ideally, by this time tomorrow that man is returned and someone is punished.

The worst case scenario is that by midnight tonight that man is not returned and no one is punished. If that happens we are in a very dark space.

All three other alternatives offer hope, with the one square I mentioned actually being a very good sign in general despite the current horrors.
