My friend, you could have called us "idealists" back then, but now you're just fooling yourself. Hillary and Harris lost. They lost, your agenda lost, your agenda failed. But somehow you have the gall to accuse us of being "idealists" when your own ideals keep losing in the polls.
Why don't we try something good, something that would actually benefit the people? Maybe that would actually work.
What would have happened if the finance industry had to regulate? Ask the history books. It has been done in the distant past, successfully, several times. And of course in other countries more recently, also successfully. It turns out that we can stop ultra rich from getting richer, but only if we have the courage to try. Maybe someday you will find it.
You seriously don't remember when Obama went the pro-corporate road at the expense of the American people, or even the globe itself? Really?
The Affordable Care Act. The bailout. The housing bubble collapse. The drone strikes. Letting the courts get stacked. The continued wars in Iraq and Afghanistan... My god, that's like every major issue, isn't it?
Of course he wasn't alone. I'm not blaming him as the only person responsible. But he was responsible, he was a lackluster president at best, and he spent eight years pushing the country towards where it is right now. Millions of us were saying that at the time, and we still are today. If you weren't listening, that's your own fault. If you didn't believe us, that's your own fault.
Mr. Obama, you caved on all of the major issues. You were a great candidate, an amazing speech giver, and a mediocre president. And that's OK -- we would be happy with mediocre today -- but you don't get to tell us what's good for the party when you are the perfect example of its biggest problem.
That all depends on the people. Many numbers in many places are far better than they were three decades ago. I could make a list, but so can you, so why bother.
Oh, it was all computer data. Originals, copies, it all has the same information in it. Chain of custody would matter in a trial, but not to the general public. And you think nobody kept copies as CYA material? Nobody? Fat chance. We know the TLAs are full of power hungry career creeps. They know how to keep data safe for future use.
Your premise is wrong. The Democrats never had the list, and the Republicans don't have it now. The people who actually have that list, and those documents, have names. Use those names. Don't trick yourself into believing that some random congressperson has access or authority.
The video footage was doctored. Maybe innocuously, maybe not, but the files that were supposed to be the originals had been edited multiple times with Adobe software.
See other posts for articles detailing this. It's easy enough to confirm. (That alone doesn't prove extreme badness, but it does prove intent to deceive the public, as if we needed more.)
He's not criticizing the country. He's criticizing the military and the political leadership. There's a very big difference between the two. It's actually a major issue in bad political reporting that people will conflate those entirely distinct entities.
At many companies you talk to more than one person in a single visit, so when that person writes about interviews, the plural, it's likely that they're planning to have you speak with multiple people.
Everything depends on the company, but if you're going in for a multi-hour session, you're probably on the short list of candidates. So you should feel good about where you are, but you don't have the job yet.
That's what Hillary said. That's what Harris said. They lost, you're lost, and it's sad that you don't understand why.
In reality we have a lot of political power. We don't just choose from the options that magically appear in front of u in cute binary packages. That's not what happens every day of our lives.
I see you are not a lawyer. Neither am I. But I have learned that in many countries, a guilty verdict could be tossed out by the judge if the pigs' actions were bad enough. You can also get jury nullification, if you're lucky.
And sometimes it turns out the officers actually fucked shit up before or after the video, which might only be uncovered before or during trial. Depends on the details.
All of those possibilities go to zero if you plead out.
You could have used ad blockers. You could have done any number of things. You were not forced to use YouTube as it is. But I understand ... It is hard to recognize that we actively consume media. It is hard to think from perspective.
Electric kettles are a waste of space for many people. Limited use, fills up the counter. So then either you use the store or the microwave. We both know which one is faster.
And since a grad school thesis isn't published, there's definitely no restrictions on the author sharing it. Maybe it'll get a few citations in the future. Not many, of course, but anything more than zero is nice.
