This is nothing new, it's just more polarizing because of everything else.

I'll be choosing an inverter soon. In the US, but considering a 240v just for the kettle.

This isn't the doctor's office. They have to use this crap for regulatory reasons.

I hadn't considered Trixie. Regular Backports is at 6.13, is Trixie ar 6.14?

Pleeaaasssee get kernel 6.14 in, or at least to Backports. I've been doing work to support the new dual screen Zenbook Pro in Linux, and I'm having to do it with Ubuntu 25.10 because Backports only goes to 6.13. Though my trusty remove-snap script still works.

• It's reported that the 18 year old who was shot and killed was pointing a firearm with an extended magazine at officers when he was shot (though yes, he was running away, so yes, it could have been handled better, but there are thousands of more cut and dry cases to be mad about).
• The deputy who was killed may have absolutely nothing to do with what happened

Oh I do, it's where I live. At current costs its about $1.6m(1) per mile, so yea, agreed, probably not much. Will have to check back in 5 years after we see the costs to operate and lawsuits from accidents 😆
