The bill would have permitted 16- and 17-year-olds to work overnight on school days and work longer than an eight-hour day before a school day. Some 14- and 15-year-olds would also have been allowed to work those hours.

While sane and modern countries use this time to educate children and ensure they don't need to work graveyard shifts during high school even go so far as funding their higher education so they can become highly-functional and productive tax-paying members of society, America begins its foray into bringing back child labor to backfill some of the most grueling and thankless jobs in the country.

Yes, because she established herself as an outstanding activist. You act like she stumbled across a "famous activist" position on LinkedIn and has been half-assing it the whole time which is an absurd characterization of what she has done with her life.

Nobody is saying she "better" than you or your activist buddies, but she deserves a bit more respect for what she has accomplished than "bottom 20% of activists"

Voting is a pretty low bar for having an opportunity to make a difference with little effort, and only 42% managed that in the US.

What "opportunity" would 80% of people do better? She was skipping school to protest climate change at 15. She made her own opportunities.

If my 99.999% figure is worship, then the numbers you're throwing around seem overly dismissive of her efforts, to put it lightly.

We are normal, but normal people like us aren't the ones constantly trying to ratfuck society to get ahead in politics/business and wield their power to further their greedy personal ambitions, so the odds end up heavily stacked against us. It's easy to feel like outsiders because that's the entire strategy, to turn right/wrong upside down, to have a fascist party that tried to steal the election point at Democrats and call them traitors, to takeover the government and defy courts and calls Democrats "lawless", to take normal sane media like AP and NPR and call it leftist propaganda.

How to consistently stand up for your morals and do more to make a difference than 99.999% of people on this planet.

Be patient and attentive to her lingering fears/doubts/pain and just do your best... what that involves is for you to figure out, you know your wife better than anyone... but there's certainly hope you can fix things if you are truly done with being "a piece of shit"
