Williams will launch its 2025 car on February 14 at Silverstone, but will save the official livery until the F1 75th anniversary launch event at the O2 on February 18 #F1

  • "One” — which marks Formula 1‘s first officially sanctioned scripted series — will focus on a failing family-owned racing team, led by Jones’ character, as it contends with fierce personalities, ever-changing rivals and multi-million-dollar stakes.

I hope it's not just a rehash of the Williams story.

  • Tbf the VSC wouldn't have helped as the field was pretty spread at the time. And a full safety is quite a big intervention for relatively minor debris, slightly off line. Also, it was about to be when ppl started pitting so throwing a safety car would have given most drivers a free pitstop and potentially killed the race. I don't like how it was handled but can understand why they did what they did at least.

  • Basically just didn't prepare the tyres correctly.

"The drivers that have done a better job are the ones that have managed to put temperature in the tyres - and I have no idea what I have done wrong on that last lap.

"But I definitely did something wrong because the tyres felt so bad and when I got into Turn 1, I had zero grip and that is a bit of a shame.

"I felt like the pace was there, but the preparation of the tyre was really bad on my side.

"We've had no doubt the characteristics of our car fitting the track, however, we had a big doubt on how quickly we could manage to put temperature in the tyres.

"Unfortunately, the worry was right because we've been struggling with that since FP1, but Carlos has understood something about it that I didn't quite manage to reproduce."

  • The 'new evidence' was the stewards' decision itself, saying that it incorrectly stated that Max was the defending driver. They wanted argue that Lando was ahead at the breaking zone, so technically he became the one defending into the corner and by Max running wide he was at fault.

I think the main purpose of this was to highlight how silly the first to the apex rule is, since it essentially allows you miss the corner without consequence.
