Tbh her being arrested just helps raise awareness. If the police hadn't arrested her and just some nobodies instead, it wouldn't be in the news.

Making the penalty isn't going to do anything when the punishment is handed out laps later when the driver doesn't even know which corner they went off at. The best way to enforce track limits is with a physical barrier, be that kerb, grass or armco. I think Hamilton wasn't getting any track limit violations until they moved the track in and effectively got rid of any physical barrier. When it's just a white line you can't see and you go over my millimetres, there's no way to know you're within limits unless you drastically reduce the amount you push, something only Max could really get away with.

The government’s pledge to build 20,000 new prison places by the mid-2020s, which was a key Conservative manifesto pledge at the 2019 election, has been quietly dropped. Less than half will have been delivered by March 2025, according to official projections. So far, 5,500 places have been delivered. Plans for three new prisons in Lancashire, Leicestershire and Buckinghamshire have all been delayed owing to problems gaining planning permission.

Cause of fire confirmed

The cause of the huge blaze at London’s Luton Airport has been named as a diesel powered vehicle.

“We have no intelligence at this stage to suggest that this was anything other than an accidental fire that started in one of the vehicles that had not long arrived at the airport. It was not an EV,” Andrew Hopkinson, chief fire officer for Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service told reporters on Wednesday morning, The Mirror reported.

He added: “This was a diesel powered vehicle.”

Oh for sure, it's far too simple to just impose a limit. And if any limits imposed are too punitive, as you say, they'll likely do more harm than good.

Put a cap on the maximum value a house can be based on bedrooms / floorspace? It'll never happen since those in power won't want their million pound houses suddenly being worthless.
