Netanyahu's not in the best position to accuse others of genocidal rhetoric backed up with powerful weaponry.

I did see one person commenting on the other video that they could see the flaps were in the wrong position. And it is conspicuous that the landing gear was not retracted - though could that be because the pilots realized they were in trouble and would need to attempt a crash landing, or were too busy with whatever else had gone wrong?

Are the 787's controls arranged in such a way that you could accidentally retract the flaps instead of the landing gear?

It seems to climb OK for a little while then suddenly start sinking. There's no sign of an obvious engine problem. Not sure whether we'd be able to see any sign of a bird strike from this far away.

Billionaires are pathologically selfish, often it seems with actual personality disorders that make them unable to understand a world of mutual support and sharing, or to appreciate how much they benefit from others' support. Unfortunately we let these people become far too powerful.

The same people who do everything they can to obstruct actual science, including research into vaccines and other medicines. ChatGPT can surely do what actual scientists and experienced health professionals can do. After all, ChatGPT can predict what word a person is likely to say next, so do a convincing impression of someone who knows about medicine. It's probably no coincidence that many of these people are grifters in their own right, and those who aren't are suckers for grifters. They have basic problems appreciating or caring about the difference between real and fake.

Sure, if you designed a poll like you describe, it would have problems. But there are well studied ways of designing polls so the result is truly representative. There's a whole science of this, and professional polls done in good faith will be designed to avoid these kinds of issues.

There's always a good percentage that are indifferent or "don't know". But they're no help.

These are some depressing numbers.

47% of U.S. adults disapprove of of deploying the Marines to LA, with 34% approval.

45% disapprove the National Guard deployment, while 38% said they approve.

... An equal share — 45% — also disapprove of the protests against ICE, per Monday YouGov polling.

36% said they approve of the protests, and 19% said they are not sure.

58% of Democrats said they approved of the anti-ICE protests, compared to 15% of Republicans.

That's what I want to hear. Good on him. But the election results showed a swing to the right across the board, and we all need to keep working to reverse that trend so we don't see these rights taken away in a few years' time.

They're simply the party of everything harmful.
