That looks pretty ugly. I'm not really a fan of trying to make computers look more like phones but I think I'm in the minority there. Oh well, I never use the start menu anyways, I only have a few programs and they're all pinned to my taskbar.

Paying attention to what you're doing. Sounds simple but so many people don't do it. They just keep doing the same thing and act surprised when it never works. If you pay attention to what you do and the outcome of your actions, you can improve everything you do and become very efficient.

That's the opposite of why he said that though. He said that because he felt that the things that seemed random couldn't actually be random and that there was something more that they didn't understand. That's the whole point of people wanting ranked choice, then they can make their voice heard by voting for more progressive candidates while not having to worry that they're voting for someone who can't win and are therefore technically supporting the party they don't want to win. The more votes third party candidates get, the more seriously they get taken even if they don't win. You can't do that with a two party system.

All the people who you're worried about voting for the "crazies" are already voting for the crazies, you're not going to get current moderates or progressives all of a sudden voting for the crazies because there are more options of crazy so I'm not sure what you're worried about.

I don't mind standing in a small cube with strangers, that's no issue at all. People that I've met once or twice but don't know, that's who I avoid.

Well that just gets into how deep one thinks about the question, "how does it work?" Because the fact is we have mathematical models that describe what particles and fields are doing, but there is yet to be an answer to "how" they do it. If you're satisfied with a model describing "what" something does as an answer to "how" it works then the question ends right there.

I think the difference is in how people interpret the question of how they work. Like you could say, easy, magnetic fields. But you can always drill down to a deeper layer. How do magnetic fields work? Well there's a force exerted on a particle moving through a magnetic field because of the electric charge. Yeah, but HOW. Well, quantum electrodynamics and virtual photons. Yeah but how do THOSE work, and why? There's a fundamental level where explanations become WHAT something does and not HOW it does it. Whether or not someone thinks we understand how magnets work depends on how deeply they've thought about the question.

You're conflating subjective and objective. Just because things subjectively matter to you (they also subjectively matter to most nihilists as well) doesn't mean they objectively matter. That's where the distinction lies.

The people who are into evil racist shit already know everything he has to say on that front. The people who aren't into the evil racist shit but only watch other specific sources that don't show it, don't normally get to see that side of him.

Train them for longer. Actually train them to fight. There are ways to bring someone down safely and if you know them you are less likely to hurt the person you are trying to subdue as well as yourself. Put them in a ring once they know how to fight and have them fight each other in a safe and sanctioned way. Once they graduate that level, have them spar against two partners to see what it's like to be outnumbered. Train them to be honourable in combat ie. defensive and not out to hurt people as a priority.

And of course train them that civilians are not their enemies.

None of this requires barbaric hazing.

Oh and just as a matter of note: people don't learn skills through chaos. You learn through repetition and once you have burned the action into your muscle memory through hours and hours and hours of practice, only then do you put your skills into chaos. Nobody gets into the ring in combat sports off the street. They practice until they can do what they need to do without thinking and only then will they be able to hopefully maintain the discipline to take the right actions under stress and chaos.

It's still a true journalists job to try

The problem with that is that most of the poor are not really smart either. On average we're a pretty dumb species.
