  • I think the number one answer is just that for so long people have heard not to use MS's browser and most people have no clue one way or the other so they just follow the herd. (Not insulting them, there is no possible way for anyone to be intimately informed about every single topic and so for things you don't care one way or the other, might as well follow word of mouth)

  • I got 2632... for some reason uploading a 9kb jpg and it says it is too large... wtf...

But yeah, this game is awesome, thanks! The feeling of about to die and then boom, first watermelon ever is pretty amazing!

  • O.O

  • I didn't understand the comic until I read your comment. I guess I'm too deep into the weird to understand that normal people don't understand/do the collar thing and thought the animal was like a dinner sacrifice or something. Very confused until I read your comment.

  • There should be one specific place where advertisements are allowed and contained. If you need X, go to the X page on the one place for advertising and check out your options. No more shoving things people don't need down their throats. Make people seek out the things they need rather than be convinced they need what they don't.

  • A big part of the prison system is to remove threats from society. It's fantastic that this guy's victims survived and it's also really good and healthy for them to ask for mercy as it means they likely aren't holding the negative feelings that will continue to hurt them in the long term. But the legal system should go above and beyond the victim's desires to protect the rest of society because this guy's next victims might not be so lucky.

  • Savouring bites shouldn't be something you feel like you "have" to do but should be something you enjoy to do. Mindful eating. Small bites, chew thoroughly, enjoy all of the flavors. If you eat slower and chew your food properly it has many benefits: improved digestion, improved nutrient intake, better enjoyment of all of the diverse flavors, you notice that you are actually full when you get full and not after you have eaten far more than your body needs.

This is not a chore, it makes eating far more enjoyable. And if you eat when you're actually hungry instead of just when you habitually eat, the food tastes even better. You make these things sound bad, but they are one of my favorite parts of life. I love eating more than I used to and I eat far less than I used to.

  • I use duck as my first choice, but unless I'm just looking up one word, it doesn't find much useful. If I look for a specific question, duck doesn't work at all and I have to go back to google. google is way worse than it used to be, but it's still better than any other I have found yet.

  • Movie makers figured out a formula that maximizes their return on investment, but to me that has limited the depth and variability between movies these days. In other words some of the best and most interesting movies I’ve watched came from the 90s where those movies did poorly in the box office.

You're defeating your own point. You're basically saying the same thing that happened then ( a bunch of crap made, but among the crap was some golden treasures you had to find) is happening now, but you're complaining about it happening now and not then.

Take off your rose glasses. There has always been crap shovelled at us and if you wade through the crap you can find some real gems. It's not different now, you are.

  • China is playing catch up. Once they steal enough IP to catch up, do you think they're going to stop and wait for more to steal? Or do you think they'll keep going and surpass the west? If they catch up I'm pretty sure they'll keep going. Will they catch up? Only time will tell.

  • While this is true, dictators have historically faced some pretty grisly ends so at least there's that. The older they get, the more time they spend in utter fear. People who are hungry for power never think about the consequences of their actions and it's not like they could possibly enjoy their lives once their house of cards begins to tighten around them, they're just compelled to start and then once they start they can't stop, because stopping means brutal death.
