Do you remember the time you were supposed to buy mobile apps, by paying a one time fee. How many apps are you able to buy now? Most switched to SaaS service because they realised this is a cash cow. I don't want to be a bad prophet but I think the game industry as a whole is also going slowly that direction.

Or you can directly put the mods in the corresponding directories. No need to use some tool, just to perform some copy paste of those files.

• The farmer was replaced - a simple Idle game, where you need to use a Python like code to automate a farming drone with farming hat that is doing the farming for you and the complexity of the tasks is increasing progressively. • European Truck Simulator 2 - because it was just 2€ and it looks chill, even though I am not much into car racing games.

Just changing the SSH port to non standard port would greatly reduce that risk. Disable root login and password login, use VLANs and containers whenever possible, update your services regularly and you will be mostly fine

If you are behind CGNAT and use some tunnel (Wireguard, Tailscale, etc.) to access your services which are running on Docker containers, the attack vector is almost not existing.
