  • Same. Speeding tickets are so fucking expensive where I live. Guaranteed to be at least $300 at a minimum. I can't afford that, so I barely go over to mitigate the effect of being the slowest driver on the road. In general though, idgaf.

I also drive a Prius, so it's at least somewhat expected ha

  • Yeah I made some honest efforts the other day. I don't think it can happen on a platform where you are surrounded by people that think the same way as you. There's too much going on. Too much pressure from the hivemind to question openly. It takes a one on one, in person conversation to really get people to question their beliefs.

Since that isn't going to happen here, quarantine to prevent the spread is the best way forward.

  • Oh man that's such a cool image! And yeah, its super cool what they are doing. I'm excited for DALLE2 to improve to the level of midjourney haha, but even now its pretty great!

And yeah I agree with you on the direction its going. Specialized models are definitely where its going to go.

  • This sounds ridiculous, but Hatoful Boyfriend. Its a pigeon dating sim that apparently has a fantastic story.

It was available on android a while back, but apparently it was taken off the play store. I only have a mac, so the steam version doesn't work for me either.

So here we are. Cassia Win for my pigeon dating sim game.

  • I've been using bing for the past 6 months or so, ever since the chat gpt integration.

In 6 months, I've earned enough points to get a $5 taco bell gift certificate.

Overall, the quality of results that I get are... Not as good as google. I find myself frequently re-searching things on Google because I actually do not find what I'm looking for on bing. And then on Google, the perfect result is the first or second listing.

Now, Google is integrating bard into searches. Sometimes it sucks, yes. But it is basically just as good as the bing chat gpt thing. So... Yeah. I'm going to go back to Google search soon.

  • Ah ok, I get what you are saying now. Got it.

I think the missing link is that the prison warden doesn't even think about the animals - they just think, this is food, eat the food. They aren't intentionally causing animal suffering, its just a build in part of the system that society as a whole has accepted as normal. So someone not eating the food is just being annoying, in their eyes, regardless of their reasons.

Is this ethical? Fundamentally no, because it accepts animal suffering as a premise. But it makes sense why the prison isn't accommodating them.

  • Wait I'm legitimately confused about this.

I agree with you in the first paragraph.

I'm confused about what you mean by animals suffering because someone is in prison. Don't they suffer regardless of if someone is in prison? Like, the animal would die and be eaten, regardless of where the meat is sent.

I'm pro animal rights and all that btw, I just don't get the connection you are making here.

  • You are an extreme outlier. Most people don't have that much stuff on their phone.

I agree it would be nice if phones started at 256gb, but honestly the average person won't come close to that in 2 years, even if they don't know about Google photos.

  • I think it should be a standard feature that game developers are able to take advantage of if they would like to.

I don't think you are going to accidentally stumble upon any mobile games that have raytracing anytime soon and wonder why your battery is draining

  • I read it. Same answer I've been giving the whole time still applies. Nothing justifies an invasion and the murder of thousands of civilians. The majority of the Ukrainian people support continuing to defend their homes, including in the eastern regions. It is up to them to decide what they want to do. If they want to concede, they will do that. It's pretty simple.

Anyway, I'm done responding now. Good luck with your lives.

  • No, it's definitely a side topic.

The topic is technically "did China supply Russia with weapons etc?" But the topic we've been talking about for a bit now is "is the invasion justified," not "is the Ukrainian constitution constructed in an ideal way."

The ideal-ness of the constitution has no bearing on whether the invasion was justified, because invading your neighbor and killing thousands of civilians, even if their constitution is not completely ideal, cannot be justified.

I'm officially announcing now that I am going to sleep. Goodnight, and I hope you can all do some reflecting on whether invading neighboring countries is good or bad. I'm done responding to all of this.
