You aren't who they are making computers for. They want fast encryption, not something customizable like Linux.
Apple's philosophy is "it just works." Not "yeah it works eventually after you figure out what kind of encryption you want and compromise speed for the sake of security."
Like I get what you are saying. For a power user, it is not ideal. But for most people, Apple's hardware solution is fantastic.
I don't know the answer to this, but somehow I trust apple more to get this right. They make money primarily on hardware, so they have a vested interest in making sure it works properly.
Edit - lol apparently I am wrong
Except for the fact that I'm right. Apparently I struck some kind of nerve. Apple is good at hardware. I use a pixel and I can admit this. They know what they are doing.
Total number of posts isn't really a helpful data point I think. Like yeah of course it will go up, but is the rate increasing or decreasing? That's the more interesting number.
It basically depends who you follow. If you are following toxic people, that is your own fault with mastodon. On Twitter, the algorithm pushes it to you no matter what.
It combines YouTube and Twitch into one platform in a really intuitive way. Has its own comment system and rating system for videos. No ads obviously. It's a whole fucking thing and it's incredible.
Oof. Ngl the recording is pretty telling. But it is just secondhand evidence.
The evidence presented from the recording is: someone said the shrapnel is from a Palestinian rocket." Not, "here are images of the shrapnel, which could only come from Palestinian rockets."
I haven't looked at the other evidence though. It could be that this, combined with the rest of the evidence, paints a more complete picture.
