Good point. Until Musk, I have always been happy with the idea of getting destructibly uploaded as an alternative way to end one's life while advancing science.
But Musk doesn't do Science. He seems to mostly make business.
There is an entire branch of role-playing games these days that argue that balancing is a pointless endeavour, so just make it clear to the players that so and so is gonna kill them if they ain't careful and let them figure it out. It's called Old School Renaissance and as a GM, I absolutely love that approach.
Dark Souls is exactly that. You wanna go through that boneyard? The skeletons that one shot you and keep respawning don't intimidate you? Then fair fucks to you and onward to glory. Otherwise better take the other path or come up with a stratagem.
I used to be on Demonoid and some other JAV trackers but they shut down and I'm too lazy to bother with waiting to join another. Never really was into music enough to track (hah!) a private tracker and honestly I think it's not in the spirit of torrents. But I appreciate the recommendations nonetheless :)
Meanwhile my torrent of Thee Michelle Gun Elephant is stuck at 31.9% because that's all that's available.
Story of my life with torrents, really. I just want the old and obscure, the stuff you can't find anymore. But it always seems to be all about the latest popular shit, sadly.
In France you just put a sticker or something on your box saying "no ads" and that's it, no more ads posted.
It really is quite a bunch of paper every week, too!
That's what I've been calling it for years, funnily. Like, I don't practice meditation in general, but just letting time pass, chilling out, not focusing on anything to get into a state of mind that lets time flow faster, to me, has always been meditation.
I'm kinda laughing reading about this whole "raw dogging" thing. What a ridiculously macho way of talking about it.
I suppose they could call it "sitting to attention", maybe? Like a palace guard you know? If they wanted to sound more macho without actually sounding like a creep.
Doesn't sound too weird to me. In my experience, devs always focus too much on positive / correct inputs, as they want things to work. Which is why you need testers that will catch all the weird crazy ways people can break things.
Testers shouldn't even see the code of it can't handle nominal cases.
