I found some information about north-facing LEDs (they face up) and apparently there are also south-facing ones, which I guess means the opposite. What does center facing mean?
What are the advantages of Hall effect switches? I didn't know that they're used outside joysticks. What kinds of switches would you recommend for starting out/different price points?
What problems did you face with Rust? I love the language, but haven't really used it for that. I did do a bit of bare metal stuff, but that was some time ago. So most of my firmware experience is in C++.
It seems like your personal views are a lot more right-wing than normal on lemmy.ml. While you may see yourself as a centrist or leftist, that is not the case for others.
You might feel more at home on a different instance, like lemmy.world. Not only would local posts & users be more aligned with your own politics, you could also avoid the stigma/stereotypes associated with this instance. Even if you move to another instance (Lemmy server), you'll still be able to interact with most other instances, though some defederate from (block) some other instances.
Linux phones might be able to do something about that, assuming they become good enough soonish. Perhaps usable Hurd phones will become available first.
At the end of the second paragraph, you're missing a space between "not" & "simply".
In you third paragraph, you used the singular "tends" instead of the plural "tend". In addition, though I believe the sentence to be grammatically correct even without them, adding commas before & after "as in principle" would make the sentence a bit clearer.
Finally, your last paragraph. The second sentence is quite long, it would be more readable if you added commas before the "and" & after the second "it's". A comma could be placed just after "Often", but the sentence remains legible even without it. The sentence could use quotation marks to improve readability further, which would end the sentence on a question mark followed by an ending quote. This would be grammatically correct in American English, but as the sentence is not a question, a period should be added to the end. While it may have been intentional, for comedic effect, "biq" should be "big" & "mystake", "mistake". If I've understood the sentence correctly, the newly-corrected "mistake" should be in its plural form, "mistakes", and be followed by a comma. The sentence should also end with a period.

GNU's Selling Free Software is for the GPL & doesn't specifically address selling someone else's OSS. But you should (I think?) be able to, so long as you don't violate the license. There are multiple views to selling foss, but I don't think that many will object, if you for example sell Linux DVDs at a low cost. (Not common any more, but this has been done before, I've heard)
I don't know much about Zorin, but selling foss is not inherently evil & illegal.
Not sure about Gates in particular, but if you donate to your own charity, then funnel it back, you're not out of the complete 100B. You also get good PR out of it.
Perhaps they only saw 4 of them.
