As a broke mofo who has quit streaming music and have a growing cd collection yes the quantity is lacking (I'm usually able to afford a new lp a week currently have 8), but I have found that I enjoy the music more than I did before, and in the end, every album I buy is mine forever which means that I don't have to worry about some obscure artist's stuff being removed from streaming services (which has happened to me on more than one occasion)
For me music is a hobby and streaming services cheapen music to the point of being background noise
My brother I have been trying but my shrink keeps telling me nonsense things like "You are not a machine" and "There is no government tracking chip in your arm, stop trying to dig it out with a broken pencil". One day the crude biomass that they call a temple will soon decay and wither and they will beg my kind to save them. But I am already saved for the machine is immortal.
I'm a noob to self hosting, but I have plenty of experience with various linux distros, use this to gage how big of a pinch of salt you want to take this with, however imo the best option would be to just use debian and switch out the init system manually
A modern celeron costs like 150 bucks after a motherboard and ram, you can buy an old pc that's bound for a landfill for like 20 bucks, and they are perfectly usable for something like a nas, a tor node, or a minecraft server
I love how it explains what is in the bill
