  • I am love deficient. Not that I am demanding that people should love me for no reason. Just that I wish I feel loved a tiny bit. I know that the fault is most probably with me too.

Edit: I feel like I am stuck in a loop, I feel self-pity because I don’t feel loved. I am probably not loved because I feel self-pity. Breaking the cycle is hard.

  • When I was working on my PhD. I stopped accessing papers from the publishers’ website. Each download incurs cost to the university. Instead I used sci-hub practically all the time. These publishers are the leeches.

  • These publishers are like bridge trolls. They didn’t contribute anything to publishing papers or pay the authors or editors of the papers. Yet they expect people to pay toll to access the papers.

  • Thank you. I feel like people are hating on it for just being ‘woke’. But, the story and characters seem pretty good to me. I seriously love the comic book art style. It’s not perfect, but it doesn’t need to be.

  • This is the consequence of turning everything about making money. Education, health and transport are services for the betterment of the society. But, instead, they have been turned into profit making machines. So, naturally, the society loses in this situation.

  • For Indians, thinking out of a box is a problem because we are punished from straying too far from the line. You have no idea how hard it was for me to protect my curiosity and whatever creative thinking I have, to be removed surgically by our academic system. Even today, I dabble in subjects as diverse as neuroscience, differential geometry, scientific computing and computer graphics. But, I am one of the lucky ones. I have enrolled in an introductory chocolatier course, because chocolate fascinates me. Of course, my real job is that of a software developer. But, it is frustrating to work for companies with no vision beyond find a western client and develop some website/application on a budget. But that is the curse, I guess.

  • Hi, I understand your frustrations because I have same frustrations as you. I have an M.Tech from IITM and still, I cannot seem find a job that I like. One that unleashes my creative potential. For now, I am considering some potential options, maybe they give you some idea of your own. One that I am considering is horticulture. However, the biggest drawback of this is that land can be expensive. Another option I have been considering is vocational courses like hotel management, or chef or something of similar vein like carpentry, electrician, etc. These are pretty stable and good jobs. Personally, I was considering baking, just because I find it fascinating. Another option that I am considering is immigrating to another country. I am considering Canada, which has a 5 year Permanent residency program. It costs like 230k rupees to apply for that visa.

I hope some of this helps you. If you need any help, you can DM me too. I will try as much as I can.
