Snap. Moved here full time the day Apollo died and haven’t looked back. Voyager now proudly sits on my home screen where Apollo once sat.

Quantised models can be surprisingly small. And if Apple aren’t targeting LLMs for local use, more specific/tailored models absolutely can run on device.

That said, given the precedent sent by Siri, their next progression of Siri into an LLM will absolutely require network connection and be executed server side.

And honestly, I find his phrasing today far more damming with its conciseness. It screams leadership.

I played the first one and while some of the filler was fun, I’d rather have had one single game than this piecemeal release.

Hopefully they do a big all-in-one release down the road where you can play the full story seamlessly. I’ll pick it up then.

Random question but how would one implement that chart as a set of rules for a game? Only thing I can think of is drawing the polys and casting a ray to find which poly it hits.

Me too. I wish they’d made a mode or something where you could plug it into your pc or pair it with the pc to use as a controller.

The amazing profiles I’ve made for strategy games using the Steam Controller and radial menus with custom icons just utterly rules and made RTS gaming on the sofa during the pandemic an absolute blast.

I love trackballs but having lived with a guy who used a trackball mouse to game whilst eating, the thing needed disassembling for cleaning somewhat regularly (Dorito dust…) so I imagine that’s why these things never took off.

Owning and still loving the Steam Controller, the haptic concaved trackpads could be set up to really feel like a trackball and, in my opinion, had all the benefits of the trackball without the downsides.

Man, I wish Valve would release a Steam Controller v2 :(

In my opinion, the risk is vulnerabilities in their driver. Threat actors love a signed driver that runs at a level like this. Saw Genshin Impact’s driver in an incident one time.
