Seditious conspiracy comes with a max 20 years sentence (for one charge). Most people that day were caught up in the events as they unfolded without thinking through their actions and understanding what they were doing, to various degrees. They didn't wake up that day to start a coup but they did follow along with it, thus they were guilty but given leniency and their sentences were greatly reduced to reflect that. Those people got their 1-3 years for partaking.
Unlike those individuals this guy didn't just wake up knowing a coup would happen that day, he actually organized it. Through his direction actions and that of his co-conspirators the events of January 6th unfolded thanks to his efforts. Him and his co-conspirators who organized and created this coup are indirectly responsible for the violence that followed that day. So his sentencing wasn't lenient because of his leadership role coupled with the violence that occured he was given a stronger sentence.
From my experience most people don't care until they're inconvenienced in some way, so they won't have an opinion on it so they wait until someone they rely on and trust to tell them how they should feel. I think we all know which entertainment network is going to tell them all about why rent control is ruining Canada/America.
Most conservatives are middle class small business owners and landlords, this is why they are always supportive of "small government" it's just a dog whistle for unregulated market.
Most cars have a mobile antenna that connects to a cellular network to send/receive data, they can access it whenever they want but they want you to pay their overhead so they offer the phone app with the remote control options as incentive to cover their costs of collecting your data and as an added bonus to their profit.
Edit: It should be noted that the phone app also allows for even more information collection that they can sell for yet greater profit.
HondaLink came out in 2013/2014 so your car may have wireless services, but it's probably for an older network that mostly doesn't exist anymore. So your car may have at one point been collecting information, just not what newer vehicles are doing today.
Because when it's NSFW it's probably an image or video which uses more bandwidth than text does, so if you're scrolling all those images and previews need to be downloaded and if it's prefetching more than just a thumbnail while you scroll you can end up with a lot of data transfer.
I doubt he cares about politics, but he does care about his image so it's plausible. I personally think it's because he wants yes men, someone pitched an idea to him and his lawyer probably told him it's a bad idea and he had to be replaced.
I agree to an extent, but you can still provide valued information without being a lawyer a few examples: a subject matter expert, sharing first hand experience, contact information, or documents one might need. Sometimes those things might even be better than advice received from a lawyer.
I know exactly what you're talking about, and my point still stands that when giving advislce you need to make it clear you are not a lawyer and if you are that you are not their lawyer when giving advice that could be misconstrued as legal advice and possibly cause liability issues. Telling someone directly "I am not a lawyer" or saying it as an acronym accomplishes just that. This isn't a practice that stems from Reddit, but the legal system itself. While using it as an acronym was popularized over the Internet it's certainly never been exclusive to Reddit but anywhere things may be construed as legal advice are.
