Why does the Music Industry allow Spotify/Apple to profit off of them?

  • For anyone reading this who's put off by the prices, I ditched Spotify and started exclusively buying music on Bandcamp. Apart from an initial splurge, I've ended up paying less for music each month. And I own that music permanently. And they got paid more. YMMV of course especially if you're somebody who doesn't relisten much, but seeing an album on Bandcamp that costs as much as a month's Spotify subscription shouldn't put you off.

  • After moving from windows to Linux I found myself accidentally press ing middle click and pasting when scrolling a lot. And I was scrolling a lot because I didn't have the middle-click-drag scroll feature. I ended up disabling middle click paste.

  • Ah yeah, I've heard some promising things about LDN. My doctor won't prescribe it for me though. There's apparently a different version of it that's being researched but it's early days. Good luck with all.

  • I got ME/CFS (closely related to long COVID) that first started in early 2020, so this is very relatable. As everyone was going back to normal I was getting worse. Do you mind if I ask what had a good effect? The only thing I've found that helps (other than rest and pacing) is nicotine patches for the brain fog.
