Also what exactly is stopping developers from using Kotlin? It compiles to the same bytecode. Is there a framework that can't be imported? I thought IntelliJ handed all of that, not Google.
It absolutely makes sense. There are people that will make their Android vs iPhone purchasing decision based on which platform "has Fortnite" (in it's in the default app store that people actually use).
That isn't the same feature. What you show replaces the person's face with the same person's face from a different photo in a burst/similar shot. That feature is called "Best Take".
The article is saying magic eraser won't draw a new face from nothing.
It probably wasn't reported. I'd wager the percentage of devices with multiple profiles (that doesn't include Android for work) is probably very small.

The Galaxy brand was firmly established and well known before the Pixel brand even existed. People say it's performance or hardware issues but 99% of consumers don't know (or care) about that at all. Google really only started spending on marketing for Pixel a couple years ago and the sales numbers reflect that.
