  • Let's be honest Trump has nothing to do with the making of this thing, someone somewhere figured they could make a quick buck off the evangelical right and got Trump to sign on for, probably, a revenue share.

  • Yeah but not that much money. First run hardcover novels cost like 15-25 bucks and it's my understanding they earn the publisher the most money of any printing run and that's even with the cut going to the author. So unless they're producing these things with some high quality materials, which seeing who's hawking these I doubt it, I think it safe to assume these things are earning at least 40 bucks in profit per sale.

  • A couple years ago on Reddit I saw a story where a dude working IT support had to drive to a remote office or replace a workstation that wouldn't boot. When he got there the lady whose desk it was had some shitty USB fan or maybe an led Christmas tree plugged into one of the USB ports. He unplugged that and the pc booted fine.

  • I read somewhere that the ship send out a mayday when they lost propulsion hoping the cops could clear the bridge. If the poster was a steaming pile of shit I would assuming they were trying to imply something along those lines.

  • I'm not sure what the first distro I installed was but I used to have a Linux VM running 24/7 on my Windows machine back in '06. I ran folding@home on my athlon 64 and for some reason the client at the time ran faster in a Linux VM on windows than it did in native windows. Pretty sure I was running Ubuntu but I can't be certain.

  • True hadn't thought about that. You're probably right but there was a significant overlap between the release of the iPhone and when people stopped using small digital cameras. Plus mirror selfies with flip phones was a thing.

  • I have several cheap USB website and they work fine but my best cam is probably the Luke's lab USB cam I bought, it has or LEDs so it can see in the dark. I had issues with the atlas they provide for the camera case but the image from it is decent in any light which is real good.

  • The Polymaker neon filaments fluoresce under black light. Someone was posting pictures on the Voron discord of their printer with the parts all printed in polymaker's neon abs and under a black light it looks like a 90s arcade. It's beautiful.
