  • I understand your point, and I would typically do more research, however the people I was replying to have seemingly abandoned the thread after making their kind of insane statements, and made even less effort than I did to prove their point.

There's not much reason to drag this out now. I'd rather spend my time on threads with more purpose, or just not online at all. :-)

  • I left school at 16 with exactly one person to put on a graph like this.

My first two relationships were like 5 years long in total. After the second break-up things accelerated a lot, but in school I think my situation was pretty standard.

  • They'd have to lie about who they slept with, and I expect the other person might have something to say about that if it was not true.

I wonder if they verified each claim from both sides.

Edit: it's a scientific paper, so there's no need to wonder!

In fig. 2, and in all discussions presented here, all romantic and sexual relationship nominations linking students are included, whether or not the nomination from i to j was reciprocated with a nomination from j to i.

  • But any insight it might have about racing is not its own, and so it may not feel genuine to someone who knows it's AI. It's nice to have former racers as commentators because they give you information that few other people have, like Martin Brundle for example.

Some AI could say the same stuff, but you'd know it was coming from a computer, not experience. Maybe that would change over time, but I'm not convinced.

  • So, since writing the above I've been having issues with YouTube. I've been connected to my VPN, so perhaps that's part of it (by which I mean Google slowing it down, the VPN doesn't noticeably slow down any other sites).

I tried deactivating my ad blocker, but it hasn't made a difference. I'll try more stuff to see if I can figure it out.

  • Obviously it's a no to your question. Consider the point that the other person is making, though... Planes are bad sometimes regardless of whether they were built in capitalist or communist societies, so perhaps the root cause is not politics.
