I usually use Adblocker Ultimate.

To check it, I disabled all the other extensions.

100% with Adblocker Ultimate.

90% with uBlock Origin.

You can use Shelter and to have there all the closed-source apps.

Banking apps work on a different user (Shelter's/Android's reg. secondary user) on GrapheneOS.

If you're not comfortable with tinkering with your phone, that's a different story. But know that you can have your cake and eat it.

Sorry for my boring answer. Never really thought about it until now. It'd probably be oandbackup.

It allows me to make my phone fully operational, customized to my liking. Including replacing the stock ROM with a custom one, rooting, and installing my favorite apps with their settings, in less then 15 minutes.

I can't say if it's the easiest, but looks like using the archiso tool you can create pretty easily Arch-based system.

The harder part is using the Calamares installer.

3 I'm guessing that Google apps would be problematic. Except those apps, I didn't have any compatibility issues, on Custom ROMs. Especially GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, LineageOS, and /e/OS.

4 On a different user, I installed banking app that would usually prevent you from using it. No problems to use the app whatsoever.

Maybe you should give a try to an immutable OS like Fedora Silverblue or Kinoite.
