  • There’s a link in the post to the website which has an FAQ, and the first question is yours. Their answer:

Beepy is a portable computing device, with a beautiful high contrast, high resolution display, and a tactile keyboard + touchpad, it is the ultimate everyday hacking gadget.

Powered by the Raspberry Pi Zero W (or any other compatible SBCs), you can use it as a chat device (supporting all chat networks on Beeper e.g. iMessage/WhatsApp/Signal/etc. ), or use it as a hackable handheld cyberdeck, running any Linux application that runs on the Pi.

  • It’s funny that you compare him to a crazy guy on the bus because the first time I became aware of him in like 2007, he was standing on the side of the street with a bullhorn in Austin TX ranting the most crazy shit. Still, there was already a crowd around him, and some were nodding along as if he was making some sort of sense to them. I’ve never seen that with any of the many other crazy people ive witnessed ranting in public, so he must seem a bit more sensical than your average loud crazy person. It’s just hard to differentiate between the two unless you’re a moron.

  • FYI not every bucees is the size of a department store, although most of the ones they’ve been building along interstates over the past 10-15 years definitely are.

There are plenty, especially near Lake Jackson where they are headquartered, that are the size of a regular gas station.

  • I know, it’s so weird that the Palestinians are still pissed off that all their land was stolen from them and that they’ve been concentrated into ghettos. Why would anyone object to that sort of treatment for 100 years?

  • I’m in the same boat with my laser printer that I bought in 2014, but I still think we need new laws prohibiting predatory practices. Similarly, I’m savvy enough to successfully avoid scam calls, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think we need more regulation and harsher punishments for those people making scam phone calls.

Modern civilized society shouldn’t require everyone to be aware of all the new technological advancements that can hurt them. Our govt should be responsible enough to effectively legislate and punish the offenders, and we should not resort to victim blaming in the absence of such legislation.

  • Doesn’t every reality require fees? I do feel sorry for the fact that your reality is only two days long. Gosh. That’s really not long enough to exist at all considering my reality is like 70-100 years long.
