  • That's nuts, I'm glad I didn't open my instance up for sign-ups. But yeah if it's making up the bulk of blahaj.zones costs it's still going to cost a lot for this to host it so idk why you'd switch, just donate money to blahaj.zone if you want to help with the costs.

Like I just really don't like dude trying to get other communities to host with him, it just seems too much like centralization and the whole point of this stuff is decentralization.

  • I mean yeah but roms on a OnePlus are a given and OnePlus phones are basically just oppo phones - we already know about the oppo fold, this is just an oppo find n2 with the gen 2 instead of gen 1, I just really don't see what else there is to know.

  • If you're unaffected by the downtime go for it I just have concerns regarding Lemmy.world, and ngl it kind of rubs me the wrong way that the instance admin is, at least as it appears to me, poaching communities from other instances to host on his hardware. Was there an issue with blahaj.zone I'm unaware of?

  • I love it, never want to go back to a candybar. I was worried about the crease failing at first but I bought this phone used and have had it for about a year and so far it's fine. You can't really get the same media viewing or productivity experience on a regular phone.

  • Scientists have been warning about manmade ghg cashing climate change since the fucking 19th century. Not the 1900s, the fucking 1800s. Right around the time the fucking civil war happened scientists figured this shit would be a problem, and they couldn't even imagine a fucking fraction of the shit we've got spewing carbon into the atmosphere.

  • Well yeah, the internet made anyone who wants to be a journalist capable of being a "journalist" so of course quality goes down. Both the Internet killed journalism and journalists are crap at writing are true, the latter because of the former.
