I both love and hate this. I love to see IRC getting some love and these features are massive QoL improvements. I say this as a regular IRC user. On the other hand though, no touch da fishy.
You could always try printing in ABS and do an acetone smooth to make it a nice surface There are also filaments that can be smoothed with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) that might work so long as the goal is just to make a mold.
I only share my services with two groups of people: my girlfriend and my technical friends. These services do include critical ones like password managers. I'm ok doing this because a.) the services i choose to use won't prevent access to the data even if my server goes down and b.) my girlfriend understands its a one man band and my technical friends also self host so there's an expectation of down time. I wouldn't be comfortable with sharing what I host with anyone else though.
I think your assessment is pretty accurate as for me it wasn't difficult to learn or understand, but I have a technical background and did when I was learning it. I learned how it does thins and why. I think most people who encounter it just want it to work, and like a lot of tech it's just magic to them once it starts working
I'm unsure how Hetzner does it, but confirm that you factor the cost of backups in. VPS providers might have you pay a flat rate for backups on an instance ignorant of size, but you'll have to pay for backups of each instance
I was there in 2017. It was glorious. I refused to participate in 2022. It was a cheap imitation. I won't even give it an ounce of thought in 2023. It's a disappointment.
I use Mail-in-a-Box (planning to move to ISPMail though) and i rarely have deliverability issues. My main issue is actually that the grey filter takes too long for my preferences! With self hosting mail, i consider that a good issue to have
I hated the chat function. DMs make sense, that stupid chat never did. And as I didn't really browse Reddit from my desktop (it was always a mobile app for me) and I used Boost, I never consistently checked my chats.
I'd say Windows. Android can be more insecure but the Android ecosystem is so fragmented that it's difficult to write malware or exploits that are ubiquitous or even work outside a specific Android ecosystem.
Windows is just kinda a hot mess and has tons of legacy stuff that can be compromised. The attack surface is larger on Windows imo.
Please get your adorable pupper a seatbelt!!! And make sure you get a good and properly tested one as most suck. Remember, any unsecured object (including bodies and organic matter) can become lethal projectiles in an accident.
Nah tankies specifically are those that support Maxist-Leninism to a fault. Thats why they sypport the tanks rolling over student protestors. They'll fight for single party state socialism that winds up not as a vanguard, but as corrupt state capitalism. Other leftists despise them because revolution doesn't necessarily mean becoming the USSR, nor should it.
