  • I might be in a niche. Here's my fav, Religion for Breakfast, Let's Talk Religion, Esoterica, Al-Muqaddimah, Tablets and Temples, Useful Charts. Not religious but I like Religious Studies because it's overlaps to history.

Also few history channel, Dan Davis History, A Historian's Craft, Kings and Generals

  • probably because it uses the Autodesk Stingray engine which, this is more interesting than the Lua usage. It's a dead engine for long while but I'm surprised to find people who still just use it.

  • the rise of LLM companies scraping internet is also, I noticed, the moment YouTube is going harsher against adblockers or 3rd party viewer.

Piped or Invidious instances that I used to use are no longer works, did so may other instances. NewPipe have been broken more frequently. youtube-dl or yt-dlp sometimes cannot fetch higher resolution video. and so sometimes the main youtube side is broken on Firefox with ublock origin.

Not just youtube but also z-library, and especially sci-hub & libgen also have been harder to use sometimes.

  • (As per K&G youtube channel) I learned that when it comes to believe system, the Mongols believe that everyone worships the same god, Tengri, but in varied way in every culture/religion they encounter.

They believe that as long as everyone submit themselves under the Mongol rule, it means they obey Tengri/Mongolian god.

There are various religious communities inside the empire but they also don't bother to do the worst thing possible to obliterate anyone who doesn't submit to Mongol, regardless their believe.

But I think in a smaller level it's also not as simple/straightforward as that. Mongolian Shamans also known to have conflicts with the Khan. Sometimes the Khan kept asking the Shamans to do a ritual over and over again until the result aligns with the Khan's desire. Or sometimes the Shaman (being a regarded class in their society) have their own political motive to do something against the Khan.

  • It's “deer strikes” this whole time?

I swear the first time I saw this I immediately skimmed it “to avoid getting hit by cars” 😭

  • it all started from laughter to slaughter.

  • Metro 2033 and Half-Life 2 lol, I cannot play horror games. I quit Metro, couldn't help myself.

But at least I completed all HL games apart from Alyx. With all achievements on base HL2 and EP2.

Ravenholm was manageable if I play without sound 🤣 But there was a long tunnel section in EP1 that was very uncomfortable and dark, felt longer than Ravenholm.
