Learned that VERY recently from here, at NDC Oslo 2023, he mentioned it around 42:54. The whole talk is worth watching, its about the history of javascript all the way back to FORTRAN (the talk itself starts at 25:03).
Huh, I tried that. Still got recommended incel-videos for months after watching a moron "discuss" the Captain Marvel movie. Eventually went through and clicked "dont recommend this" on anything that showed on my frontpage, that helped.
I asked it to tell me a joke, which it did. But when I asked for another, it quite grumpily replied that it was made to help with code, not to tell jokes.
People like that has always existed. We just didn't give them media coverage.
Must be sad to be a crazy scientists today. "They laughed at me and called me crazy for thinking the moon is made of cheese? They'll pa.." "No actually you got like 150 followers on Bird-app who agree." It just isn't the same. 🙄
The climate is heading in a horrible direction, and not enough people care. Politics are heading in a horrible direction, and you know what? Not enough people care!
Sorry, the last 4 years has made me very cynical. And I'm in a particularly blue mood today.
