  • This is like one of those Nintendo Mii's with the feature size sliders turned all the way down.

  • Give it 48 hours before all mods are purged and the sub is no longer "closed"

  • Yeah. Dessalines is a lemmy dev and an admin of lemmy.ml (which is effectively the dev's official instance). And he has some very questionable views on Russia/China and censorship in general.

  • Post was deleted from what I can see, and the deletion may not have federated yet.

    Was it your post?
I see in the mod log you had a post removed 4 days ago. If removed it goes inactive, it will appear visible for you as the original poster but become inaccessible to all other people and you won't be able to reply to any comments. https://lemmy.ml/modlog?page=1&actionType=All&userId=2563802

  • So, lemmy.ml, lemmygrad.ml, and a few other Lemmy instances have a reputation as being "tankie" (aka, aligned with overseas communist or former-communist powers). Their users will effectively attack any western viewpoint (e.g Gaza genocide) but remain completely silent on any topic related to Russia or China (e.g Uigihur genocide). They argue in bad faith and exist as a propaganda tool only.

  • ve noticed an uptik of pro Chinese propaganda content here on lemmy

Your instance must not be federated with lemmy.ml or lemmygrad, and it shows.

  • Don't worry about those people we fought 1939-1945. They weren't important obviously, that's why were erasing them, no other reason.

  • I started an internship as a sophomore in college with a local manufacturing corp. Did part time there while going full time for my mech.E bachelor's.degree. I originally planned to only be there a year, but it ended up working out that I stayed all the way thru graduation doing a variety of jobs in their r&d labs as an assembly tech, CNC machinist, and also a CAD drafter. About 6mo before graduating I applied for an open product engineer position and was able to roll into working full time right after, have been there for about a year and a half ish now.

I was able to graduate with some savings and a high paying job, I basically hit the fucking jackpot.

  • Their achieved accuracy was +/- 1.5km and +/- 2m/s

Which is an improvement in of itself. That improves flying craft navigation to and from the moon into something significantly easier to automate and coordinate between multiple ships, more than ballistic dead reckoning.

  • Oh good I got here before the lemmy fuck cars brigade showed up

  • UPS is actually fairly reliable. FedEx is hit and miss depending on the driver coverage area you're in, DHL and others just don't even exist.

USPS has always been great, but primarily for handling "last mile" where a lot of customers need reliable delivery of low monetary value packages like letters that UPS isn't set to handle, but carry some of the most important lifelines of information to rural and poor Americans.

  • Don't legitimize a traitor, because his complaint while possibly valid is not genuine at all. He doesn't give a fuck what they spend, he is just operating under orders from his dommy mommy Putin to destroy the west's cohesiveness.

  • Finally someone says what it is.

    TARRIFFS ARE A SALES TAX.
    TARRIFFS ARE A SALES TAX.
    TARRIFFS ARE A SALES TAX.

And every consumer hates a sales tax.

  • Sim city 4 effect. Build your coal power plants right on the city border, the pollution just disappears!

  • I mean I was thinking like when you're flying on a plane and you get to your destination after 5 hours. You probably go use the bathroom in the airport almost the first thing. I guess lemmy can't think that far ahead though

  • It’s the same reason Biden can’t be sued or criminally charged for anything done during his time as president by anyone.

Give it a few months until Republicans run out of other boogeymen to chase after. They'll come up with some shit.

  • Prepare to watch the entire country's agricultural output drop 20% over the next 4 years because we can't predict what the weather is going to do for planting and harvesting anymore.
