  • Not only that, they don't have the production ability to fullfill 5% of China's requirements for single aisle jets. Ryanair would be very far down the queue. It's a classic O' Leary bullshit announcement.

COMAC is aiming to increase production of the C919 to 75 planes a year. Airbus is aiming to increase production of the A320 to 75 planes a month

  • Not really. Airbus is working on several new designs, and these assembly lines could be repurposed. It's a pretty riskless investment. Airbus wants to be able to ramp up production, but that is very, very hard to do. building and equiping the factory is the easy part. You have to train people in very complex and specific skills, create seniority scales and workforce structures, etc. and then comes the really, really hard thing, which is getting an already overstrained supply chain up to production levels required by the new line.

  • The other day, in another thread about eggs (damn we talk a lot about eggs lately!) someone mentioned a 15 egg pack. WTF is wrong with your countries!! The natural egg set is 12. a dozen! because, 12 is the logical... Because 12 eggs is... Hmmm. we don't have twelve fingers, or toes... Why dafuq do we use dozens? I mean, even decimal months make more sense

  • Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, or even Google. They give a shit about your wellbeing, as long as they profit.

That's delusional. The try to cater to what will keep you engaged, so that as much of the data you can generate can be milked. That's like saying that agrobusiness cares about livestock's wellbeing.

  • Right around the confinement my sister and I were talking about getting some seeds for my mom. Neither of us searched for seeds. From that point we both started to get ads for seeds, many for the ones we had talked about in particular. This thing was so unequivocal that it proved to me that our phones listen. Maybe they don't analyze, but they definitely listen for words actionable for an advertising purposes.

  • I have owned a Nissan vanette, And let me tell you, it's a van-full of nope! Steering is super weird, as the wheels are under you, the feeling that your knees are going to be what crumples in a crash is unnerving, having the engine right next to you (it's between the front seats) is smelly, warms up one of you thighs, but just one, even in the summer, and a slew of other shit. Standard layout for me, at least Eurovan layout.

  • I have had a dishwasher for basically all my life ( Over 50. Get off my lawn), an I recently moved to a small apartment that has no "magic cabinet", (the one where you put dirty dishes and when you take one out it's clean), after my kids moved out. At first the dishes piled up, but now I use what is in tbe drying rack. Gamechanger.
