  • Split heat pumps are very common in Southern Europe. Modern units have insane efficiency, in the order of 4 units of heat or cold per unit of energy expended, and can be installed almost anywhere, in contrast to central units. The only downside is that they don't provide hot water.

  • Have you taken a look at Sovol? Their SV08 is essentially a Voron. As for multi color, Bondtech is releasing their INDX tool changer later this year, wich in my opinion is far superior to an MMU. I don't know if it can be installed on the SV08, but if it is, it would be my choice.

  • This was explained to me years ago. They don't give a fuck about what you said. They want you to lie, in case they need to fuck you up. If for some reason they want to screw you, they'll look for these uids, and if you hadn't declared, they'll slap perjury charges on you.

  • That's one of the beauties of Linux, if you need something else than want you can probably get another distro that suits your needs. OP was asking about newbies. I set up Mint for my mom. I can guarantee that she won't change.

My son on the other hand distro hops.

  • Not just a wig, a cheapo Aliexpress wig. I had an employee who bought a quality hairpiece, and it was uncanny. He paid through the nose for it, but it was worth it for him, as he was quite bald in his 20's.

  • 1st. You dou you. 2nd. Kudos for the design and ingenuity.

    Now the buts:

I personally don't agree with the concept of "I'm going to print this just to prove I can", especially if it's subpar.

I have so much h to print, for me and for others, that I see this as a waste of time an filament.

My own personal point of view.

  • I like Sovol, I like what they do, and how they do it, but this article makes it sound like Sovol did something groundbreaking.

Eddy? 15€, Rápido UHF (for example, much higher flow hotends out there ) around 70€. Converting an Ender 5 plus (easily found used in the sub 200€ range ) to corexy (Mercury one) around 230€.

So yes, the max is nice, but I'm modifying my 5 plus to be in that category of printer for around 300€, or if I had to buy a used E5+ under 500.

The regular SV08 IS groundbreaking. They essentially made a Voron for half the price.

  • "Canada joined Ireland, Thailand, Spain, Argentina and Mexico as the few countries that saw support increase over the past year, despite remaining below 2021 levels.

However, those countries regularly outpaced Canada across all questions asked by Ipsos."

    So, not leading, eh?
