Because obviously it's important? You are the one who is thinking in universe scale terms. I'm in the human realm where a decade is probably 1/8 to 1/7 of a human's life and we can't fast forward through it.
I mean, at the extremes, a bunch of things start acting weird. Cool gas down enough and it turns liquid, heat it up enough and you get plasma (?), put it under enough pressure and you get liquid (?), send strong currents through materials and they start acting weird too.
Governments worldwide should support their auto industries because it’s fundamental to any country’s GDP and future wealth base
I believe this to be the completely wrong approach. Europe shouldn't feel threatened. They should make cars much less important. Europe should be investing in green tech and public transport (buses, metros, trams, trains) so much that the average person doesn't even want a car. That a car is only required for very specific tasks that otherwise cannot be done without other modes of transport.
China could make the best car ever and it wouldn't matter if it cars had a tiny market. But when you read the advice given by car-addicted, car-centric people, then can't think of making cars less important. It goes completely against their beliefs, no matter how much it harms the environment, citizens, and governments. They just want that shiny new car-sized iPhone.
People out here are so easy to manipulate, it's friggin' hilarious. No wonder stuff like QAnon exists.
Hamas fighters probably had their instructions taped to their forehead so that when they look at each other they remember what they're there for. "Habibi! I totally forgot why we're here! Look me right quick so I can remember.... Oh right. Kill the children. Got it."
I mean, do we really need to flush with drinking water? It's literally drinking water straight into the toilet. 6l at that for "big business" and 4 for a single whizz. And that multiple times a day.
Bucket in the shower to collect run-off water for flushing? Thought it was standard until I learned people don't even bother turning the faucet off when brushing their teeth.
Thank the christian democrats and Angela Merkel. I'll have you know that people haven't learned and that christian democrats are leading the polls once again.
I'm more of a chocolate person and confused as well.
