  • Why don't they create their own co-op studio with blackjack and hookers? Their combined talent should be able to, right?

  • Give me good public transport and good internet on the country side and I'm all for it.

  • Anti-nuclear people in here arguing about disasters that killed a few k people in 50 years. Also deeply worried about nuclear waste that won't have an impact on humans for thousands of years, but ignoring climate change is having an impact and might end our way of life as we know it before 2100.

They're bike-shedding and blocking a major stepping stone to a coal, petrol and gas free future for the sake of idealism.

The biggest enemy of the left is the left

  • Thanks, but pfffff. So I have to carry around another tiny thing I can lose easily. No thanks.

  • I simply cannot understand that decision. Am I supposed to throw away all my headphones now because of this dumb, Apple initiated fad? That big vendors like Samsung and OnePlus follow the inane "courage" displayed by Apple because they also want to be "premium" is understandable, but that smaller vendors, especially the fair phone do it is just dumb.

Apple creates problems to sell you a solution

  • Aren't we lucky to have the brits to make fun of for such things?

  • Can't you just open a new private tab or window for every video that you watch?

  • If I don’t murder people, people will still get murdered. Therefore it doesn’t make a difference if I choose not to murder people?

No. First of all the tenses are wrong, then the equivalence is wrong.

If people stopped getting murdered, they'd still be killed by illness, parasites, old age, accidents. Basically the loss of life will not stop simply because humans stop taking that life. Are you going to start telling lions not to kill gazelle? Or parasites, viruses, and bacteria not to infest hosts?

Why is it OK for other animals to prey on other living beings, but not humans? You think humans are cruel? Read about what happens in the animal world. Hyenas eating buffalo alive, snakes eating their prey whole (while alive), parasites of course needing live hosts: one eats a fishes tongue and takes its place, another eats a whale's eyes, yet another takes over the motor functions of ants and forces it clamp down on a plant where the ant dies of hungers and the fungus grows from the corps, the parasitic wasp that lays its eggs within tarantulas and the worms eat the tarantula alive, and so many more gruesome ways to die in the animal kingdom.

  • How is this different to react, angular, vue, etc.?

  • I think people forget that nature is quite brutal. If humans stopped eating meat, millions of animals would still be killed by predators, illness, parasites, old age, accidents, etc.

If cows became intelligent enough to participate in society but we had lab grown beef, I'd eat it.

  • Isn't it called haixs now? (the h is silent)

  • I don't know if their block will work in private mode of the browser. If it doesn't, then all youtube videos will simply be opened in private mode and that's that. If somehow that doesn't work, then I too will stop with youtube.

Unfortunately, we'll probably be the minority and others will just give in to the pressure.

  • It seems like the solution is easy: don't allow cars to be sold in the country if they don't fit into the parking spots...

  • They might fuck themselves when they start forcing people to turn off adblockers after 3 videos. It's being tested in different places (probably A/B testing) and when it becomes standard, I wonder what people will start doing.

  • I honestly thought this was going to be a wholesome video. Glad I was right!

  • I am impressed nobody called OP a noob and told him to "RTFM". Good job y'all! Keep being a positive force.

  • People in the political center and on the left tend to have a monolithic view of the far right. In reality, it is an expansive ecosystem that includes neo-Nazis, Christian nationalists, conspiracy theorists, anti-government militias, and white nationalists. These groups have some beliefs that conflict, but they are generally willing to overlook their differences. Still, not every group uses the same tactics to try to gain power.

A lesson the left doesn't ever seem to learn. The worst enemy of the left has been, is, and always will be, the left. The infighting is insane.

I think the problem is that the right is unified in hate. It's a very simple, very basic emotion, that's mixed together with tribalism and group think. It helps people create a bonds as well as an "us vs. them" mentality, which is very strong.

People on the left however are split because they don't want to hate, they want to be inclusive and tolerant. That however is very difficult when someone hates you and is intolerant. You can't be tolerant of intolerance, love hate, and include exclusiveness. However, being intolerant of intolerance, hating hate, and excluding exclusiveness creates a cognitive dissonance. The left is very capable of hate, exclusion, prejudice, etc. as they are humans, but because they aim to become "better" than the conservatives, liberals, etc. they create large divisions in their groups that can't overlook their differences.
And will forever be a problem of the left. Being better is difficult.
