How about any guiding principle?? What the fuck are the core principles of the democrats? What will they stand firm on? Seems like "support for Israel's genocide" is the only nonnegotiable.
There's endless arguments about everything if you look for them. My advice is to really consider what you feel to be your "guiding principles" and use them to well, guide you. This gives you a kind of framework to evaluate arguments you encounter, and can keep you grounded when you might otherwise get overwhelmed.
"Put politics aside and make the world a better place" is a wild sentence lol. As much as you may want to believe otherwise, we aren't going to code our way out of political problems.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. "Mutual aid" is meant to be distinct from "charity" which has a different kind of implication. Mutual aid is more about "we help each other". Charity can absolutely be organized, but tends to be more "structured" than mutual aid efforts.
