I've seen my parents abandon all the values they once claimed to have to follow that man. I don't have much respect for his followers' ability to snap out of it.
Whether there is a law against settlements is irrelevant. Every Israeli government expands settlements, they're not going to stop because they know the US will always support them.
Netanyahu in particular is not constrained by the idea of the rule of law.
It wasn't standard operating procedure, she rejected all the stuff the it staff wanted to set up for her. If it had been any other employee of the state department at the time it would have been criminal, and it would be illegal for the SoS today. She also obstructed the investigation.
And it cost her, and the country. It's probably right she didn't face charges, but it was still a serious and irresponsible fuckup.
There are levels to these things, and the mar-a-lago shit is obviously exponentially worse.

Courts postpone hearings and grant additional time for stuff a lot, and courts are particularly eager to give Trump far more leeway than anybody else.
