Each community is allowed to set their own standards for the rules they have, there's no server wide ban necessarily against NSFW, so you should check with the mods of a given community

How best do you recommend continuing the protest? Simply stop using reddit altogether, or is there a malicious compliance you recommend?

My usage has gone down significantly since the API changes but I haven’t been able to kick it altogether.

While it's not exactly a perfect replacement for reddit yet, lemmy can help with that, i've found. If you click to the "all" feed you can basically get a slows/less populated version of reddit r/all. Really all it lacks at the moment is user participation, which has been climbing a lot over just the past few weeks.

This is 100% true. LLMs, neural networks, markov chains, gradient descent, etc. etc. on down the line is nothing particularly new. They've collectively been studied academically for 30+ years. It's only recently that we've been able to throw huge amounts of data, computing capacity, and time to tweak said models to achieve results unthinkable 10-ish years ago.

There have been efficiencies, breakthroughs, tweaks, and changes over this time too, but that's just to be expected. But largely its just sheer raw size/scale that's just been achievable recently.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here; LLMs are absolutely under the umbrella of AI, they are 100% a form of AI. They are not AGI/STRONG AI, but they are absolutely a form of AI. There's no "reframing" necessary.

No matter how you frame it, though, there's always going to be a battle between the entities that want to use a large amount of data for profit (corporations) and the people who produce said content.

Definitely opens up a big question about the security of Lemmy instances that I am sure will be discussed over the next few days.

They added 2FA login to lemmy in one of the newer updates. Probably pretty pertinent for any admins to use it....

As someone who has played both: Fighters are definitely much more playable in 5e than 3/3.5. This is mostly because of two reasons, really.

First of which is casters in 5e aren't as crazy powerful as they were in 3e, so fighters are able to "keep up" much better than they used to.

Secondly, fighters have a few key powerful features that really help them shine, and no longer require very specific feat chains to actually....do....anything. On top of that, subclasses, which are kinda like baked in PRCs, help a lot in giving extra abilities and build diversity, without sacrificing main class progression like they did in 3e.

That said, build diversity overall is much more limited in 5e, because there's not the glut of expansions like we saw in 3e (you can argue that this is good or bad IMO, i dont think either side is inherently right or wrong)

most will just slow the rate your deck discharges (if you're using it), you need a high output charger to actually charge it. Anker makes a few that will, i personally have the 737 and think its worth every single penny with the steam deck.
