Unfortunately, like filibusters, government shutdowns are a Pandora's box. Once they've been used as a negotiating tactic once, you can never un-use them.

That's not to say this isn't despicable, but unless there's bipartisan support to change the process, we're going to see government shutdowns every time there's disagreement over funding.

There was a point in time where I paid for Netflix because it was simply easier than downloading everything.

That point has long passed, and I no longer pay for streaming.

Good. They should have done this ever since they started moving to their own Tensor chips. Once you control the processor and the firmware, you're not at the mercy of other companies removing support

i've been using rdx.overdevs.com - it's a great way to read comments on mobile with a great UI, and you can import your list of subscriptions in a .json file. The only issue is that you can't use it to post, so it's read-only. I view that as a feature and not a bug.

I used to post almost daily (although i wouldn't classify much of it as "quality") for the last few years, and less frequently for about a decade before that. I've posted exactly 0 times since the app-pocalypse.
